It is located in the La Compañía district, La Concepción valley in Tarija, Bolivia. The wine vocation of the valley comes since 1690 by the religious order of the Society of Jesus who began the production of wines for the liturgy.
We are heirs of this winemaking tradition that, centuries ago, gave its name to the region and to our main estate "La Compañía".
La Concepción Wineries and Vineyards INC. were established in 1986 with the support of the businessmen of Tarija and La Paz based on the estates of some shareholders.
The production, in the early years, is concentrated in La Concepción branded table wines.
1986, the Singani Rujero was launched with great success.
1991, the company launches the first varietales wines of Bolivia to the market, initiating the production of more elaborated wines.
1994, it begins the first export of wines and Singanis to Europe and Canada.
1995, the first aging in oak barrels wines are released.
2004, the Premium Cepas de Altura wines are launched, the best expression of our vineyards.
2016, the IKM Bolivian group assumes the control of the company. A broading stage of the vineyards, of the company's product portfolio and new markets of exportations begins with it.
